Assistant Audit Officer (Central Cadre):
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Assistant Audit Officer (State Cadre)
Essential Qualifications:
i. Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Assistant Accounts Officer (State Cadre):
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor‟s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;
Or
Bachelor‟s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II :
Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute
All other Posts:
Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification as on 01.08.2026.
Other Details
Only male candidates are eligible for the vacancy(ies), if any reported, in the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
Age relaxation/ ESM reservation is not admissible to sons, daughters and dependents of Ex-Servicemen. Therefore, such candidates should not indicate their category as ex-servicemen.
1. Tier-I Sectional Timing Enforcement
While Tier-I retains its 100-question, 200-mark format (with a 0.50 negative marking scheme), the notification explicitly emphasizes strict 15-minute sectional locks per subject (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension) within the 1-hour composite time for regular candidates.
2. Structure Changes for Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) & Assistant Accounts Officer
State vs. Central Cadre: The AAO and Assistant Accounts Officer post structures have been heavily expanded. SSC has now introduced a clear, separate classification for Central Cadre and State Cadre positions.
Targeting a State Cadre position for these roles, the candidates must now demonstrate local/regional language proficiency (ability to read, write, speak, and understand the regional language), backed by a matriculation certificate.
