World’s First All Women Crew Ship flagged off

Union Minister of state for Ports, Shipping and Waterways flagged off the all-women crew on-board shipping corporation of India (SCI) vessel, MT Swarna Krishna.
As a part of the diamond jubilee celebration of SCI on March 6 and the commemoration of International Women’s day on March 8, Union Minister Mansuhk Mandaviya launched the ship virtually.
This is the first time in the world’s maritime history that a ship is being sailed by all-women crew.
The MT Swarna Krishna is a cargo ship, product carrier of the SCI from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Mumbai.

Facts:

For effective implementation of various schemes and programmes of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, all major schemes of the Ministry have been classified under 3 umbrella schemes viz. Mission Poshan 2.0, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Shakti.
The schemes under the umbrella schemes are:

The Banks Board Bureau (BBB), autonomous body of the Government of India tasked to improve the governance of Public Sector Banks, is set to find the Managing Director and Deputy MDs for the proposed National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development, which will be considered by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet headed by PM.
The NaBFID was proposed in the Budget 2021 and drafted the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Bill, 2020.
The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development is to be set up for financing the National Infrastructure Pipeline projects.
The proposed bank may have an authorised capital of one lakh crore rupee and twenty thousand crore rupees as an initial paid-up capital.

She defeated the Canadian wrestler Diana Mary Helen Weicker in the 53 kg category.
Bajrang Punia won the Gold against Tulga Tumur Ochir of Mongolia under 65 kg category, in the same event and held the World’s No. 1 rank in wrestling.
In 57 kg category Sarita Mor has won the silver in the series to Giullia Penalber of Bulgaria.
