Fourth Edition of India Mobile Congress announced by Centre

• The Union Minister of State for Communications, Education and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Sanjay Dhotre, has announced the India Mobile Congress 2020,
• The fourth edition of IMC is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and the prime Partners include Dell Technologies, Ribbon Communications and Red Hat.
• The theme of IMC 2020 is to be "Inclusive Innovation - Smart I Secure I Sustainable".

Urban Mobility India Conference 2020 inaugurated

• The 13^th Urban Mobility India Conference was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep S. Puri.
• The theme of this conference was Emerging Trends in Urban Mobility’.
• The Ministry has issued a detailed advisory, as to how the nation needs to move ahead. It relies on three key pillars

1. promotion of public transport system
2. leveraging technological advancements
3. penetration of NMT systems in the urban transport paradigm.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid foundation for various developmental projects in Varanasi.

  • Sewerage related works
  • Infrastructure facilities for protection and conservation of cows

India’s first auction of coal mines for commercial mining

• Union Minister for Coal has said States will earn a total revenue of Rs 6,656 crores annually from the success of the nation's first ever commercial mining auction.
• A total of 19 mines have successfully been auctioned, which is the highest number of successfully auctioned mines in any tranche of coal auctions.
• These mines are spread over 05 states Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
