Green Delhi App launched to fight against pollution

  • Chief Minister of Delhi has launched an application, Green Delhi, to control pollution in Delhi.
  • The application enables people’s participation to register complaints, report pollution sources and violations of anti-pollution norms.

Indian Army launches the “Infrastructure Management System”

  • Indian Army has introduced the software named “Infrastructure Management System” during the Army Commanders Conference.
  • The scope of the software package developed includes the following
    • To automate works initiation, preparation of list and its approval by the MoD.
    • To accord administrative approval and monitoring of execution by the CFA.
    • To automate availability of CAO pool accommodation, plan vacation, re-allocation and undertake maintenance.
    • To automate approval of accommodation allocation/extention for children education ground, special children and Battle/Physical casualty.
    • Manage cantonment roads including emergency closure.
    • Make land, works and quartering policies available on line.
    • Monitor land encroachment, Old Grant Bungalows, VIP references and transfer/exchange of land.

 

Operation Meri Saheli launched by India Railways

  • The Indian Railways has launched a new initiative called Operation Meri Saheli to ensure safety and security of Women passengers during the travel from the starting and the destination stations.
  • The project was started as a pilot project in the South Eastern Zone in September 2020, then extended to all zones after a good response from the public.
  • The overall safety and security are ensured by the RPF personnel onboard and also in the station en-route.

 

A High Secure Messaging Application launched

  • The Indian Army has launched the “Secure Application for Internet (SAI)” for simple and secure messaging.
  • The application supports end to end secure voice, text and video calling services for Android platform over internet with end to end encryption.
  • SAI will be used within the Army personnel to facilitate secure messaging service.

Cabinet Approves the MoUs signed with Cambodia

  • The Indian cabinet has approved the Memorandum of Understanding Cambodia to cooperate in the field of Health and Medicine.
  • The bilateral MoU will encourage cooperation between the two countries through joint initiatives and technology development n the health sector.
  • This MoU will be in force for five years from the date of signature.

 

Cabinet Approves the MoCs signed with Japan

  • The Memorandum was signed for the bilateral cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
  • The MoC will help in cooperation between two countries in various fields like 5G network, telecom security, Submarine cable, standard certification of communication equipment, utilization of latest Wireless Technologies and ICTs, ICTs capacity building, Public Protection and Disaster Relief, Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Block Chain, Spectrum Chain, Spectrum Management, Cooperation on Multilateral platforms etc.
  • The MoC will serve as a strategic initiative for India as Japan is an important partner with “Special Strategic and Global Partnership” status.

Flight Safety Trophy

  • Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Flight Safety Trophy has been instituted to promote the efforts towards flight safety among Indian Army Aviation Corps units tendering decisive combat edge to the force commanders.
  • The 2019-20 COAS Flight Safety Trophy was given to the Army Aviation Squadron deployed in the Jammu And Kashmir for active involvement in the operations along LOC and insurgencies in the Kashmir Valley.

Former CM of Gujarat passes away

  • The former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Keshubai Patel passed away due to cardiac arrest in Gujarat.
  • He was the CM of Gujarat when BJP first came into power in 1955.
  • Also, he has served as the MLA, MP in Rajya Sabha and Minister at different time periods during his political journey.
