BSNL launches ‘Bharat Fibre’ in Pulwama
• BSNL has become the first operator to begin optical fibre-based high-speed broadband service in Pulwama with launch of ‘Bharat Fibre’. It is the first such FTTH (Fibre-to-the-home) services set up in the Kashmir valley.
India-France to hold anti-submarine drills off Djibouti
• Under the 17th edition of bilateral Varuna Exercise, India and France will hold anti-Submarine warfare games off the coast of Djibouti near the Horn of Africa.
Air traffic growth hits 5-yr low in FY 19 at 11.6%, Cargo at 6%

UK Parliament becomes the first to declare climate Emergency
• The UK parliament becomes the first national legislation body in the world to declare a ‘climate change emergency’. This move is in reponse to Extinction Rebellion protests that blocked traffic in key parts of central London for a week in April.
