SJVN Limited, a PSU under Ministry of Power has signed an MoU with Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA).
Under the MoU, IREDA will also assist SJVN in developing an action plan to create and acquire Renewable Energy projects for the next 5 years
It will also serve to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and provide consultancy & research services, which will contribute to driving sustainable development of the country.

Tribes India has added 46 more new tribal products, mainly in the Forest Fresh and Organic range, into its catalogue this week.
This move is to expand its product range and make it more attractive, while enabling millions of tribal enterprises access to larger markets.
All the new products introduced in the past few weeks are available in 125 Tribes India outlets, Tribes India mobile vans and also on online platforms such as the Tribes India E-marketplace (tribesindia.com) and e-tailers.
Go Vocal for Local Go Tribal is the mantra that TRIFED under Ministry of Tribal Affairs goes by as it works in benefitting the tribes and their livelihoods across the country.

NTPC Ltd., one of India’s largest integrated energy company and a PSU under Ministry of Power, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, on 4th December 2020.
The MoU was signed to implement the Narmada Landscape Restoration Project.
The program is in partnership with a grant in aid from NTPC Ltd and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in equal proportions.
The 4-year project will be implemented in Khargone District of Madhya Pradesh, in the catchments of selected tributaries of the River Narmada between Omkareshwar and Maheshwar dams.

National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited will be adopting Light Detection and Ranging Survey (LiDAR) technique for conducting ground survey for the proposed Delhi-Varanasi HSR corridor.
LiDAR technique uses Laser enabled equipment mounted on a Helicopter.
The aerial LiDAR survey technique, for the first time for any railway project in India, was adopted for the Mumbai- Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor primarily because of its high accuracy.
The tentative length of the corridor is about 800 km, the alignment and stations will be decided in consultation with the government.

Memorandum of Agreements (MoAs) was signed by National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) with Central Bank of India a leading Public Sector Bank.
The MoA is for the implementation of Interest subvention Scheme of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
The scheme will benefit OBC/SC SHGs with loans/borrowings up to Rs.4.00 Lakh and OBC/SC individuals with loan/borrowing up to Rs.2.00 Lakh with a quick interest subvention benefit of 5% directly into the standard accounts of borrowing SHGs/beneficiaries.

Fact:

Union Sports Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju launched the second edition of Fit India Cyclothon via social media.
The mega cycling event which starts on 7th December 2020 will run for 25 days till 31st December 2020.
This event was organized with the aim to get the people involved in outdoor activities and to start a cycling culture across the country.
The first edition of the Fit India Cyclothon was launched by the Sports Minister in January 2020 in Panaji, Goa.
