  • The world is set to celebrate International Yoga Day in June 21.In India, the main event will be held in Ranchi, Where PM Narendra Modi will perform Yoga along with some 28,000 people.

Inauguration of Kaleshwaram irrigation project


  • Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekar Rao inaugurates Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. The project will help utilize the flood waters from the Godavari which go untapped into the sea. 
  • Water is supplied for two crops in a year to 45 lakh acres
  • 4o TMC of water through ‘Mission Bhagiratha’ to supply safe drinking water daily to every household.
  • Drinking water to be supplied to one crore population in Greater Hyderabad city daily.
  • Supply of 16 TMC of water to thousands of industries in the stage for the industrial usage.

India’s first solar Cruise Vessel to be rolled out soon


  • The 3 crore cruise boat that carry 100 passengers is under construction at a boatyard in Aroor and comes from the stable of the builders of Aditya. It will be rolled out in Alappuzha in December. The Hybrid vessel will be powered by a motor that can source energy from solar panels, battery, and generator.

Fitch affirms Bharati Airtel at ‘BBB’-With stable outlook With stable outlook

  • Ratings firm Fitch affirmed Bharti Airtel’s credit rating at ‘BBB’ with stable outlook, citing 31-33 percent revenue market share despite intense competition and expectations of recovery in its mobile business.

  • ‘‘BBB’ rating indicates that expectations of default risk are currently low. 
 Rivigo Launches Freight Index

  • The majority of cargo movement happens on roads in India. With transportation being highly unorganized sector, there is lack of transparency on freight rates. To bridge the gap, Rivigo a technological logistics company which owns 3000 trucks launched the National Freight Index (NFI) based on a study of Truck rentals over the past three years.
  • The index shows two kinds of data-actual freight condensed to rate per tone-km and the change with respect to a base month.
