India’s Tiger Census: New Guinness Record for being the world’s largest camera trap wildlife survey.
The results of the 4thAll India Tiger Estimation 2018, has entered the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest camera trap wildlife survey.
The results were declared to the nation on Global Tiger Day last year by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which had reported that, the wild cat’s population has increased 33% since 2014 that is from 2,226 in 2014 to 2967 in 2018.
The camera trap wildlife survey surveyed an area of1, 21,337 square kilometres with camera traps placed in 26,838 locations in 141 sites.

CII-ITC Sustainability Awards 2019 for NTPC Ltd.,
A central PSU under the ministry of power, NTPC Ltd., has won the CII-ITC Sustainability award for the year 2019 for its excellent performance in Corporate Excellence Category.

PM Modi Inaugurates Asia’s Largest Solar Power Project
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Power Project, the Asia’s largest solar power project in Madhya Pradesh virtually.
Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) a joint venture of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) developed the 1,590 acres spread power plant generating 750 MW units.

Government launches ASEEM portal to help skilled people find sustainable livelihood opportunities
Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched Aatamanirbhar Skilled Employee-Employer Mapping (ASEEM) portal to help skilled people find sustainable livelihood opportunities.
ASEEM portal will provide employers a platform to assess the availability of skilled workforce and formulate their hiring plans.
The ASEEM portal and App will have provision for registration and data upload for workers across job roles, sectors and geographies.

Atal Innovation Mission launches ATL App Development Module
NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), has launched a new mobile application called ‘ATL App Development Module’ for the School students all over the country.
The main aim of this application is to train the students in technological field and transform them as App Developer in the future to come.
The App Module was launched in collaboration with Indian homegrown startup Plezmo under AIM’s flagship programme Atal Tinkering Labs initiative.

IRDAI gives its nod to Insurance companies to launch corona Kavach Health Insurance Policies
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), has allowed 30 general and health insurers to launch short-term ‘Corona Kavach' health insurance policies.
Under which the policy covers the medical expenses due to the COVID-19. This policy can be availed by the persons between the age group of 18 to 65 years.

“Development Marketplace Award 2020” received by IHD India
‘Development Marketplace Award 2020: Innovations to Address Gender-Based Violence’ was given to the Institute for Human Development (IHD) from World Bank and Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI).
The award was conferred for the Project alcohol, intimate partner violence and household economy: an assessment of liquor ban in Bihar.
