Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi delivered inaugural address at the virtual India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 on 9^th December 2020, through video conference.
The theme for IMC 2020 is "Inclusive Innovation - Smart, Secure, Sustainable”.
It also aims to drive foreign and local investments, encourage R&D in the telecom and emerging technology sectors.

Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan presided over the Curtain Raiser event of 6^th India International Science Festival (IISF) - 2020, on 9^th December 2020.
IISF is celebrated every year to promote Science and Technology and demonstrate how science could lead India towards a developed nation within a short span of time.
The aim is to engage public with science and celebrate the joy of science and show the ways how science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) provide us with the solutions to improve our lives.
The theme of 6th IISF to “Make India self-reliant and contribute in global welfare”

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare digitally addressed the Inter-Ministerial Conference by Partners in Population and Development (PPD), here today, through Video Conference.
PPD) is an intergovernmental initiative created specifically for the purpose of expanding and improving South-to-South collaboration in the fields of reproductive health, population, and development.
PPD was launched at the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) by the developing countries from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
PPD is the "only organization in the world fully dedicated to South-South partnerships."
India has the Vice-Chairman position in this intergovernmental group.

The WHO Foundation has appointed Indianorigin global health expert Anil Soni as its rst Chief Executive Officer.
He will act as the CEO from 1^st January, 2020.
WHO Foundation was created by WHO to tap new sources of funding, including the general public.

The International Anti Corruption Day is observed globally on December 9 to raise awareness of corruption and of the role of the Convention in combating and preventing it.
International Anti-corruption day 2020 theme is “United Against Corruption”.

Submarine Day is observed to remember and honour submariners who made supreme sacrifice in their service, every year on December 8.
On the 53rd Submarine Day, Indian Navy released a video of the efforts made by Indian Submariners from the sea over the years.
