Nag River Pollution Abatement Project approved
- The union road transport and railway minister informed about the approval of Pollution Abatement Project of Nag river which flows in the Nagpur City.
- The project cost is estimated to be ₹2,117 crore under the National River Conservation Plan.
Rajya Sabha TV and Lok Sabha TV merges, now to be known as Sansad TV
- Rajya Sabha TV and Lok Sabha TV have been merged and now it will be known as Sansad TV.
- Retired IAS officer Ravi Capoor has been appointed as its Chief Executive Officer.
- Sansad TV will telecast live proceedings of both the Upper and Lower Houses on two different channels during simultaneous sitting of the Houses.
- The decision was taken as per the recommendations of Surya Prakash committee.
PM inaugurates Maritime India Summit 2021
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Maritime India Summit 2021’ through video conferencing on 2nd March.
- Minister of Transport of Denmark Mr Benny Englebrecht, Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, Union Ministers Shri Dharmentdra Pradhan and Shri Mansukh Mandaviya attended the summit.
- The Sagar-Manthan - Mercantile Marine Domain Awareness Centre, launched during the summit, is an information system for enhancing maritime safety, search and rescue capabilities, security and marine environment protection.
Udaipur Science Centre inaugurated
- The Udaipur Science Centre, at Udaipur, Tripura was dedicated to the people by the Governor of Tripura, Shri Ramesh Bais on 28th February 2021.
- Udaipur Science Centre is the 22nd Science Centre which has been developed by NCSM (National Council of Science Museums) and handed over to the State Governments under the Ministry of Culture’s Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science.
- The Udaipur Science Centre was developed at a cost of ₹6 crore, funded jointly by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and Dept. of Science, Technology & Environment, Government of Tripura.
Sugamya Bharat App - Launched
- Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot virtually launched “Sugamya Bharat App” and a handbook entitled “Access – The Photo Digest” through video conference in New Delhi on 2nd February.
- Sugamya Bharat APP — a Crowd sourcing Mobile Application is a means for sensitising and enhancing accessibility in the 3 pillars of the Accessible India Campaign i.e., built environment, transportation sector and ICT ecosystem in India.
- The App is available in 10 regional languages, namely, Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil, Odiya, Kannada, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Malayalam.
- The handbook entitled “Access - The Photo Digest” is a collection of photographs from across different States and UTs.

IAF to Participate in EX Desert FLAG VI
- The Indian Air Force is participating for the first time in Exercise Desert Flag-VI along with air forces of United Arab Emirates, United States of America, France, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Bahrain.
- Ex Desert Flag is an annual multi-national large force employment warfare exercise hosted by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
- The aim of the exercise is to provide operational exposure to the participating forces while training them to undertake simulated air combat operations in a controlled environment.
- The IAF is participating with
- six Su-30 MKI - multirole air superiority fighter
- two C-17 Globemaster - large military transport aircraft
- one IL-78 - tanker aircraft

Gold for India in Ukraine wrestling event
- Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won the gold medal in the women's 53-kg category at XXIV Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial in Kyiv, Ukraine.
- Vinesh Phogat defeated world number seven Vanesa Kaladzinskaya of Belarus in the finals to win the gold medal
