ROPAX services inaugurated in at Alibaug, Maharashtra

• Minister of State for Shipping and Chemical and Fertilizers, Mansukh Mandaviya has inaugurated ROPAX services at Alibaug, Maharashtra.
• ROPAX services is a Water Transport Service Project under Eastern Waterfront Development from BhauchaDhakka to Mandwa in Mumbai.
• ROPAX Vessel M2M -1 was built in Greece in September 2019 for the benefit of the passengers for a time saving journey.
• Mumbai Port Trust has developed ROPAX jetty and terminal facilities at BhauchaDhakka at the cost of ₹.31 Crores.

OIL & Numaligarh Refinery signed crude oil Agreement

• Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed an Agreement with Numaligarh Refinery for the sale & purchase of crude oil at Narengi, Guwahati.
• The agreement was named as Crude Oil Sales Agreement (COSA) for a term of 5 years.
• The agreement was signed by Harish Madhav- Director Finance, OIL and Dr Indranil Mittra- Director Finance, Numaligarh Refinery Limited.
• FACT: Headquarters of OIL - Noida, India.

‘Women On Board 2020’ Report

• Women on Board 2020 is a report jointly prepared by My Hiring Club and Sarkari-Naukri which is based on the women employees on Board in companies worldwide.
• In which India has ranked 12^th position having 628 companies which constitutes with 55% of companies with women directors in it.
• The list was topped by Norway which has got 40.72% women employees on board.

Veteran Journalist Pattil Puttappa passes away

• The veteran journalist, Writer and activist, Mr Pattil Puttappa has passed away here in Hubli, Karnataka.
• Puttappa served as the first president of the Kannada Watchdog Committee and was also the founder-president of the Border Advisory Committee.

Malayalam poet Puthussery Ramachandran passed away

• A veteran Malayalam Poet and a teacher Dr Puthussery Ramachandran has passed away in Kerala at the age of 91.
• He has won the Sahitya Akademi, the translation award in 2005 and Bhasha Samman in 2014.
• He has also won the Ezhuthachchan Puraskaaram award, the highest literary honour in 2015 and Yesenin Award from Russian Cultural Centre in 2012.
