IIT-M To install air quality monitoring equipment
  • The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras will soon set up automatic air quality monitoring instruments at several locations in the city including at the chennai port.
  • Recently an instrument was installed at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai.
  • The Department of Science and Technology and IIT-Madras have supported for Monitoring equipment.
Chandrayaan -2 to be launched on July 15 from Sriharikota at ISRO
  • This Mission costs Rs. 603 crore for the space craft system and Rs 375 crore for the launcher a GLSV-MK III.
  • The Lander and Rover will have the Tricolour painted on them.
  • The Ashoka Chakara will be imprinted on the rover's wheel.
Prime Minister attending SCO Summit
  • PM Narendra Modi attended the 19th Shangai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This will be PM Modi's first visit to a multilateral summit after winning the Lok Sabha elections for the second term.
