China launched “Ziyuan-III 03” to space from Shanxi
- China has launched its new high-resolution mapping satellite “Ziyuan-III 03” into space through Long March-4B carrier rocket.
- The China Academy of Space Technology developed the satellite, which was launched from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in the Northern Province of Shanxi, China.
- The satellite will join with its forerunner the Ziyuan-III 02 to form network and capture 3D images from space.
- Apart from this two more small satellites were launched for dark matter detection and commercial data acquisition developed by the Shanghai ASES Spaceflight Technology Co. Ltd.

India-European Union Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation renewed for next five years (2020-2025)
- India and European Union (EU) exchanged Note Verbale to renew its Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation for the next five years.
- This decision was taken during the virtual 15th India-EU Summit.
- The agreement was expired on May 17, 2020, so now it renewed the agreement for the next 5 years (2020-2025).
- Earlier it renewed the agreement for 2 times, in 2007 and 2015 which was initially signed on 2001.
- The agreement mainly focuses on water, green transport, e-mobility, clean energy, circular economy, bio-economy and health.

Bureau of Indian Standard’s Mobile App BIS-Care launched
- Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Ram Vilas Paswan launched the Bureau of Indian Standard’s (BIS) Mobile App ‘BIS-Care’.
- The app is mainly for the Consumers to check the authenticity of the ISI-marked and hallmarked products and register complaints.
- The developed app notifies that the BIS is strengthening its capacity of enforcement by implementation of e-BIS.

DRDO launches ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ contest for innovators and startups on 5th death anniversary of former president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam
- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched its innovation contest ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ on the 5th death anniversary of former President and renowned scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on 27th July.
- The scheme is being launched for emerging technologies to promote the individuals & startups for innovation in defence and aerospace technologies in the country after the call of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
- Dr. Kalam was well-known as Missile Man.
Ministry of Earth Sciences launches Mobile App "Mausam” on its Foundation Day
- To encourage the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) in improving dissemination of weather forecast and warning services based on latest tools and technologies to the India Meteorological Department a mobile app was launched called "Mausam”.
- The app was launched during the foundation day celebration of Ministry of Earth Sciences.
- This Mobile App is dedicated to the public and designed to communicate the weather information and forecasts in a clear manner without technical jargons.
- The mobile app has been designed and developed jointly by ICRISAT’s Digital Agriculture & Youth (DAY) team, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune and India Meteorological Department.
- The Ministry also launched a portal called Knowledge Resource Centre Network (KRCNet) to develop an excellent KRC centres.

Bank of Maharashtra collaborated with Uniken for Omni-channel security
- The Bank of Maharashtra has partnered with the Uniken firm to secure its Internet banking channels on all medium against cyber fraud.
- Uniken is a renowned firm in the field of digital security in India.
- The bank will use Uniken’s REL-ID technology for Omni-channel security for its online banking app MahaSecure.
- The REL-ID technology by Uniken has been modelled for defence-in-depth functions that will help secure the bank’s mobile apps.

Haryana to host the 4th edition of Khelo India Youth Games in 2021
- The 4th edition of Khelo India Youth Games will be hosted by Haryana in 2021 virtually, the games will be held in Panchkula, Haryana.
- The Minister of State of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju and Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar gave the announcement.
